Around the Village in Photos: April 1 - 7, 2016 And Then It Was Winter

And then Winter Came and covered the spring flowers with five inches of snow on Monday April fourth, more than we had during actual winter months. Wind howled, temperatures dropped to a low of Twelve degrees on the fifth, and we all muttered things I can't repeat on this blog!!!

I did some garden chores this week, like raking leaves off garden beds, cutting back ornamental grasses, and pruning winter worn leaves off Hellebores. I took some time out to enjoy the garden flowers. Take a look!

A little of everything this week. Sun, snow, rain, cold nights, warmer days. A flock of Cedar Waxwings has been feasting on crab apples around the village. Bees were out taking pollen from crocuses. I noticed crows and house sparrows collecting sticks and grass for nests.
