Around the Village in Photos: April 2 - 8, 2015
So busy out and about looking for signs of spring, raking, biking and unearthing my garden, that I'm late posting!
Unfortunately, House Finches are susceptible to conjunctivitis. It spreads from finch to finch as they forage and live in flocks. If you see a bird or two at your feeders with this disease, you need to take down your feeders and clean them with a 10 percent bleach solution. Dry thoroughly before refilling. Clean old seed and dropping from under feeders too. Do this on a regular basis.
